How Kept scores the House
This is the full House of Representatives for 2023–2026: the 118th and 119th Congresses, including members who left, died, or arrived via special election. Roster data comes from the unitedstates/congress-legislators project.
Roll calls come from VoteView / Clerk of the House — every House vote in the 118th and 119th through late July 2026 is in the catalog.
The kept rate is kept ÷ (kept + broke) on votes that map to a sourced personal pledge for that member. The national Republican or Democratic ticket is not the test. A Democrat who campaigned for border enforcement is scored on that pledge, not the DNC’s. A Republican who campaigned against Ukraine aid is scored on that pledge, not the conference’s. If we do not have a personal pledge on an issue, those votes do not move the rate. Missed votes are tracked and also do not move it. A percentage is only shown when there are at least six pledged key votes — a 0-for-1 is a fraction, not a 0% career rate.
We do not invent quotes. Pledges are pulled from each member’s Wikipedia political-positions and campaign coverage; the sentence is on their profile. That source is imperfect — it is still their record, not the party’s. Floor yea/nay counts and caucus-line percentages stay on the profile as descriptive tallies, separate from kept.
Portraits are official congressional photos. Follow a member after you sign in; that list is yours and is not public.
Ask Grok (after you sign in) about any page. It can read this catalog — including roll calls that are not scored — and look up FEC donors, PACs and other funding channels, STOCK Act trades, and House financial disclosures. Extra research does not change kept rates.
